A complete copper alloy asymmetrical double loop buckle of Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). The buckle frame has one pointed loop and one D shaped loop. The D shaped loop has a cylindrical roller secured around the outer edge. The pointed loop has six shallow horizontal grooves along the outer edge, The pin is wrapped around the central bar, which is narrowed at either end. The body of the matrix consists of an flat pedestal or handle with an incomplete triple suspension loop. Out of the three holes, one is empty and has an internal diameter of 2.8 mm. Another is incomplete and the third failed to cast properly and is filled in. The handle has been bent over at an angle of around 70 degrees. No orientation marks appear present. The mount consists of an openwork cross, with five stranded foliate ends. A diamond shape is present at the centre of the cross. The reverse has two rectangular sectioned attachment spikes, each of which gradually taper towards the tip. A silver sixpence of Elizabeth I, minted in 1568 with coronet mintmark. The last digit of the date (8) has been struck using a broken punch, which means it looks similar to a 3. The coin has been folded into an elongated S shape as probable reuse as a love token. It has a diameter of 26.00mm, and is 1.20mm thick. Due to the folds present, the coin has a height of 5.05mm. It weighs 2.5 grams.
