An incomplete copper-alloy (bronze) cast horse harness fitting or strap distributor, dating from the late Iron age to the early Roman period ( c.50BC-AD50). The object comprises three connected openwork trefoil rings (of which two survives intact) and a probable central motif of a horses head projecting 90 degrees from the centre of the object. The complete rings have an internal diameter of 9.7 mm and 8.8 mm. An incomplete copper alloy, probable brooch, of Iron Age dating (c. 400 BC to c. 100 AD). he fragment consists of two large spring coils and a fragment of a further coil or pin; attached on the other side of the spring coils is a simple strip of copper alloy, which is circular in cross-section, presumably the brooch body or the pin. It measures 33.0 mm in length, 7.0 mm wide and 9.3 mm thick. It weighs 1.7 g. The fragment is a dark brown colour, with an uneven surface patina. The front has been decorated with a high relief design, within a wide border. Remnants of red enamel survive in the recesses of the design. A complete copper alloy probable bead, of uncertain dating, but of probable Late Iron Age dating (50 BC to 200 AD). The ring is cylindrical and cast in one piece with a moulded exterior surface. This decoration is broadly symmetrical with two wide ribs, with a narrow rib to either side along the edge. The interior of the bead is plain and undecorated.
