A copper alloy Late Iron Age to early Roman bow brooch fragment of Colchester type. The bow and parts of the wings and spring mechanism are present, but the rest of the brooch is missing due to old breaks. The wings are short and flat, and there is a hook bent forward over the bow. The brooch measures 57.3m in length, 14.6mm in width across the wings, 22.3mm in thickness including the bent spring and weighs 7.8g.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman buckle of Hawkes and Dunning (1961) Type IIA. Only part of the attachment end of the plate is preserved, the remainder of the object now missing due to old breaks. The surviving fragment is flat, rectangular in form and has the remains of openwork decoration. The attachment end bears three rectangular lugs, pierced to take the buckle frame. Lithic handaxe, knapped from mid grey flint, of probable Palaeolithic date. Flakes have been removed from both surfaces to shape the axe, which is oval in plan. It has an elongated lenticular cross section with pointed edges. The edges of the axe are damaged and worn. The surface of the axe is a creamy white colour, however the grey flint can be seen on the more recent damage to the axe. The axe is 93.7mm long, 81.1mm wide and is 24.4mm thick.

Fragment of a copper alloy brooch dating to the Roman period. The fragment is of a Colchester or Colchester derivative and comprises of the catchplate and part of the bow only. The rest of the bow, head, mechanism and pin have been lost to old breaks. The catchplate extends from the bow to form a triangular plate which curves at the outer edge, acting as a pin rest. The catchplate has openwork decoration in the form of three circular holes, two now filled with sediment. The fragment measures 30.4mm in length, 13.9mm in width, 4.2mm in thickness and weighs 4.4g.

A large, probable scraper knapped from a tertiary flint flake and dating from the Neolithic to early Bronze Age (4000-1000 BC). It is broadly ovoid in plan, opaque in the body with translucent edges and on a mid-gray, mottled flint. At the proximal end is a pronounced bulb of percussion on the ventral face. An incomplete, copper alloy zoomorphic brooch , dating to the Roman period (100-200 AD). The brooch takes the form of a swimming duck, with an elongated hoizontal body and long neck rising at a right angle from the body. The head is lost to an old break at the top of the neck and the lug and catchplate only remain as worn fragments. Corrosion close to the lug at the 'tail' end of the brooch, suggests that the pin was originally made of iron. A copper alloy, probable Langton Down brooch dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman periods (AD 25-60). The fragment survives as the wings and part of the bow; the pin, foot and catchplate are all missing. At the top of the brooch, there are semi-circular wings which form the head and are undecorated. The bow extends from the head at c. 90 degrees and the front bears six incised lateral, parallel lines forming ridges between. Hattatt (1989) illustrates a similar example, p306 no 769, which he dates between AD 25-60.

A copper-alloy object which is probably a medieval harness pendant. The apex loop is set at 90 degrees to the disc below. Located at the base of this disc, and on the same alignment as the apex loop, is a sub-discoidal terminal. The object measures 24.5mm long, 8.9mm wide at the terminal, 6.6mm wide at the loop, and 8.1mm deep at the centre. It has also been suggested that this item could be part of a padlock mechanism.

A copper-alloy mount of probable post-Medieval date. The head of the mount is of flat section and has an oval central area. A fan-like projection extends upwards from the top end of this central area, and there is a pointed lobe at the base. On the underside, an integral rivet projects backwards from just below halfway, tapering to a point. It is possible that there was originally a second such rivet, which is now missing. Dimensions: 20.3mm long, 8.3mm wide, 3.9mm thick (1.6mm excluding rivet).

A copper-alloy jews harp of post-Medieval date. The head consists of a sub-oval loop which is of lozenge-shaped cross section. At its base, the loop extends into two tapering, parallel, arms with rounded terminals. The central tongue is missing.The artefact measures 51.7mm long, 14.9mm wide at the arms, and 5.9mm thick. Gordon Bailey suggests an 18th century date for jews harps of this form (Bailey 1995: 76-77).
