A copper alloy Late Iron Age to early Roman bow brooch fragment of Colchester type. The bow and parts of the wings and spring mechanism are present, but the rest of the brooch is missing due to old breaks. The wings are short and flat, and there is a hook bent forward over the bow. The brooch measures 57.3m in length, 14.6mm in width across the wings, 22.3mm in thickness including the bent spring and weighs 7.8g.

Fragment of a copper alloy brooch dating to the Roman period. The fragment is of a Colchester or Colchester derivative and comprises of the catchplate and part of the bow only. The rest of the bow, head, mechanism and pin have been lost to old breaks. The catchplate extends from the bow to form a triangular plate which curves at the outer edge, acting as a pin rest. The catchplate has openwork decoration in the form of three circular holes, two now filled with sediment.
The fragment measures 30.4mm in length, 13.9mm in width, 4.2mm in thickness and weighs 4.4g.

An incomplete, copper alloy zoomorphic brooch , dating to the Roman period (100-200 AD). The brooch takes the form of a swimming duck, with an elongated hoizontal body and long neck rising at a right angle from the body. The head is lost to an old break at the top of the neck and the lug and catchplate only remain as worn fragments. Corrosion close to the lug at the 'tail' end of the brooch, suggests that the pin was originally made of iron. A copper alloy, probable Langton Down brooch dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman periods (AD 25-60). The fragment survives as the wings and part of the bow; the pin, foot and catchplate are all missing. At the top of the brooch, there are semi-circular wings which form the head and are undecorated. The bow extends from the head at c. 90 degrees and the front bears six incised lateral, parallel lines forming ridges between.
Hattatt (1989) illustrates a similar example, p306 no 769, which he dates between AD 25-60.

Complete copper alloy annular brooch dating to the Medieval period. The brooch is annular, circular in section and is broken at one point of the frame, possibly where the pin constriction was once located. The pin survives and is formed of a copper alloy wire, circular in section, bent around the frame. The brooch measures 14.8mm in diameter and 2.1mm in thickness. The pin is 14.1mm in length and 5.2mm in diameter around the frame. It weighs 0.83g.

A silver coin of Edward the Confessor, adapted to make a coin brooch or badge by way of two silver rivets. The reverse of the coin has been gilded, making this side the visible face. A silver annular brooch or buckle. The frame is circular in cross section and undecorated. The pin is formed of rectangular silver, tapering to a flattened point at one end and expanding to a thickened rounded end that is pierced to allow the frame to pass through. It is free moving and has two moulded lines on the upper face, just before it begins to flatten and narrow.

Fragment of a brooch of uncertain date. The object is reminiscent of a Roman brooch, however the metal has a red-brown patina more associated with the Post Medieval period.
