A copper alloy buckle dating to the late Saxon period. The buckle is broadly D-shaped in plan with a straight strap bar and rounded outer frame. The edges of the frame expand past the strap bar, forming animal head terminals and there is a rounded and thickened expansion in the centre of the outer frame, also forming an animal head. The animal heads are of the Borre style with incised circular eyes. The frame is incised with a segmented geometric design. A copper alloy strap end of Early Medieval or Medieval date. The strap end is broadly rectangular in plan with an open upper end and a rounded lower terminal. It is formed of a single outer sheet of thick copper alloy with a central void to accomodate the strap (not surviving). The front bears moulded decoration forming foliate designs. Copper alloy stirrup strap mount dating to the Early Medieval (11th Century) period. The copper alloy mount is broadly triangular in shape with a flat lower edge and slightly curving sides. The triangular point is missing due to an old, worn break laterally across the mount. Two circular attachment holes are located on the lower edge, but the rivets do not survive in situ. Iron corrosion on the reverse, slightly off-centre suggests a possible adaption for a later attachment. The front of the mount is decorated with the moulded design of a dog. Copper alloy stirrup strap mount dating to the Early Medieval (11th Century) period. The copper alloy mount is broadly triangular in shape with a flat lower edge and slightly curving sides terminating in a rounded point. The tip expands to two rounded knops, a third would probably have extended from between the two knops, with a circular perforation loop. Two circular attachment holes are located on the lower edge, both filled with the corroded remains of a circular iron rivet. The front of the mount is decorated with the moulded design of a dog.
