A square copper alloy medieval heraldic harness pendant, dating to the period c. AD1300 - 1499. The pendant bears a shield of arms with, in Chief, a Lion Passant Guardant and a pierced five-armed cross(?) also in base a similar cross (?). It is comparable to an example illustrated by Ashley (2002, 19; fig. 19, no. 173), attributed to the family of Trubleville. The lion's face and tail bear minute traces of gilding. The reverse is blank.
