A modern cast copper alloy three piece Regimental jacket button of the Berkshire Volunteer Rifles, with the first Volunteer review taking place in Hyde Park in the presence of Queen Victoria in June 1860 . The Obverse is convex and within a lined border an eight-pointed star with the precedence number 19 in the middle. Within the lined border the Regimental name: Berkshire Volunteer Rifles. The reverse is flat with the loop fastener soldered or brazed in the centre (bent) and around the outer perimeter the makers: Doughty & Co St Martins Lane.

A copper alloy gilded button, probably modern and possibly by Charles Jennens or Jennens & Co London dating from the early 1800s AD. It has either the capital letter "O" or "0" above the figure 12., both of which bear traces of gilding.It may be a Livery button, but more likely a Regimental one, however identification is proving difficult. It is probably an Oxfordshire militia button (formed AD 1759, amalgamated into the Oxfordshire Light Infantry in 1881); the 'O' being for the county, and the 12 relating to the 12th regiment of militia.
