A copper-alloy key, lever or turning utensil, rectilinear in plan with one end extending into a curved semi-circular head with a hooked nose. The head is perforated on both side, the apertures are not drilled all the way though and are not symmetrically placed. The mottled green and brown patina could indicate a Bronze Age or Roman date.

Broadly T-shape with one end wider than the other. The widest terminal is flat-ended and semi-circular; at the centre, a shaft projects 90 degrees which gently tapers to a broken end. The reverse is concave, now filled with dirt. Undecorated.

Rectangular and curved tube of iridescent glass with broken ends that surround an inner rectangular piece. Another separate rectangular piece is slotted inside the inner rectangular elements. At one end is a copper-alloy crescentic inset which probably extends to the other end, tapering to a rectangular end.

A cast lead bird figurine/toy of an unknown date.
Cast lead three-dimensional figurine of a bird in flight with a flat base. Similar objects are recorded on the database as medieval to post-medieval 'shy-cocks or weights CORN-0669B0, SUSS-4E9687). Shy toys were designed to stand up so that they could be knocked down by having sticks thrown at them. Others have viewed them as Roman figurines of eagles (KENT-AA7925).
It could also have been attached as a finial to outdoor furniture, as it is lead, but it is very crudely made for this function. Forsyth & Egan (2005) explain on…

An incomplete copper-alloy object, probably a strap end, mount or spoon handle of uncertain date.
The object is broadly rectangular, with a rounded edge and straight sides. One end is truncated. The opposite end is shaped, it broadly widens and tapers gently to a rounded terminal, it is also curved, giving it an almost zoomorphic appearance, there is a decoration consisting of a central stamped indentation and an outer groove.

It has an oval hoop consisting of a rectangular band with two ends soldered together very crudely. The surface is undecorated, it is very rough and damaged with small notches along the outer perimeter.

The object is undiagnostic and cannot be securely dated to pre-1721 (see attached report), and therefore it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

A gold annular ring with spiral rope motif probably dating to the medieval period, c.AD1200-1500. The annular ring is sub-rectangular in cross-section with a flat reverse. Along the reverse are short longitudinal etches. In the centre of the annular frame is a flat, gold foil with a central circular perforation. Extending from the collar is a hollow, tubular socket (8.51 mm diameter). This object could be a handle for a key (for parallel see PAS no. An incomplete, fine-grained sandstone whetstone of unknown date. The object is sub-oval in section and sub-triangular in plan, tapering to a blunt point at one end. The object has broken at one end and the remainder of the whetstone has been lost. Dating of whetstones is difficult as they were used from the Bronze Age to modern times. The object is 80.78 mm in length, 28.42 mm thick (at the base) and 27.57 mm in width. It weighs 93.90g.

A cast, copper-alloy, unidentified object of unknown date. The frame is broadly rectangular in form with two concave sides and two straight sides which taper outwards. The reverse is concave-convex. Sitting in the internal area of the frame is a large and irregular mass of corroded iron, inferring this object might have been a mount or harness fitting. The patina and form suggest a Roman date (c.AD43-410). An interrogation of the PAS database did not reveal any parallels.
