A cast lead fish, probably a pendant or fishing lure of post-medieval to modern date c. AD 1800-1900. A naturalistically cast modelled fish, with a long dorsal fin and smaller pelvic fin represented together with a forked tail. Moulded detail overall includes scales, pectoral fins and large worn eyes. A drawn wire [diameter 4.55 mm] loop is inserted at the tail end for suspension, with corrosion around the mouth suggesting it passed through the body. Shiny silver patina.
