Roman grey ware body sherd. Sub-rectilinear in plan with all edges broken. The fabric is grey with some inclusions, the two surfaces are darker than the inner fabric. The thickest side measures 9.39mm, tapering to 6.21mm. This thickening is where the sherd meets the rim but very little remains. The outer face has two lines, forming an upside down L which have been scratched into the surface, revealing the lighter coloured fabric. This may be deliberate decoration or could be plough damage.
