A late Medieval to early Post-Medieval incomplete sword belt hook, dating to the 16th century AD. This asymmetrical hook has foliate moulded relief decoration, defined by curvilinear grooves, and two rivet holes, both circular. One rivet hole has a diameter of 2.0mm and the other, that by the break, has a diameter of 1.5mm. The hook has broken off before the recurve. A bent but complete Roman bow brooch, of Colchester derivative hinged form, dating to c. AD43-120. This brooch weighs 5.56g and has a maximum width, across the wings, of 26.2mm. A slightly damaged cast copper-alloy flanged axehead of Early Bronze Age date. This is a Needham's Class 5, probably Type C, dating to the Arreton phase of the early Bronze Age c.1700 to 1400 cal BC. This possible die initially resembles an incomplete head from a great square-headed brooch of early Early-Medieval date (Hines' Group XXIII brooches). However, after discussion with learned colleagues it seems unlikely to be part of a GSH brooch.
