Medieval hammered silver coin of Edward II, a class 11b1 due to the style of the crown, bust, and lettering - with the closed C and E with angular backs, scroll tailed R and a fish tailed letter S which can still be seen on the reverse (North 1061/1). Initial mark is a cross pattee, the mint is Canterbury. Dates from c1310 to c1314 AD. Obverse legend reads as EDWA R ANGL DNS hYB. Reverse legend reads as CIVI TAS CAN TOR. The diameter is 18mm and the weight is 1.20g.

It is either an Edward II cf5b or an 11b1 due to the closed angular E on the obverse and C and the straight sided I on the reverse. It is possible to make out the start of CIVITAS on the reverse so the mint is either London or Canterbury. The full obverse legend is EDWA R ANGL DNS HYB. Dates to between 1309 and c1314. Length 19mm, width 10mm, and weighs 1.28g.

Damaged hammered silver penny of Edward II. A class 15b (North 1067) Dating from 1319 to 1321AD. The obverse has an angled E and C, very wide, well shaped side fleurs and poorly defined ornaments. The bust has a smiling face though this is not evident due to the degree of wear and is slightly smaller than a 15a. The obverse legend is EDWAR R ANGL DNS HYB which is a characteristic of class 15. The coin is an Edward II class 13 due to the central fleur being like a double edged battle axe and a thin cross pattee mm made of 4 wedges. The bust has a smiling face with a pointed chin. The crown is bifoliate. The letters E and C have an angular back. The obverse legend reads EDWAR R ANGL DNS HYB. The coin is from the Canterbury mint with the legend CIVITAS CANTOR. The diameter is 18mm and the weight 1.38g.

A silver hammered 'long cross' coin of Edward II. Class 11a1 (round E & C & the cross Pattee made up of 4 thick wedges), which dates to 1310 to c1314. It was struck at the Canterbury mint. The reverse inscription is CIVITAS CANTOR. The obverse is worn & it is not possible to make out whether it is EDWA or EDWAR. The rest of the legend will be R ANGL DNS HYB. The diameter is 16mm, weighs 0.89g
