Three sherds of probable Saxon pottery. One sherd (central in the photo) definitely has a vegetable filler. Another has uneven surface impressions, but probably not deliberate. The other (that on the right) has two sexfoil stamps. The sherds are between 6-9mm thick and made from a very hard fabric.

A very worn, small, wedge-shaped copper alloy terminal which appears to be broken only at its narrow end. One of the flat sides has very worn punched semi-circles or perhaps ring and dot decoration which runs along the edge of the object. The object may be of early medieval date.

Four non-joining fragments from a Post Medieval to Modern object, probably a sleeve from a rotating copper-alloy bearing. The original object consisted of a cylinder with a slightly thickened and flaring rim at one end. There are fine circumferential regular grooves on the smooth outer surface and coarse transverse lines remain inside. The surviving length of the object is 64.74mm.

A copper-alloy annular object; the patina suggests a Bronze Age or Iron Age date. The object may be a spindle whorl although whorls of this date range do not appear to be known. The object has a dark green patina and is slightly plano-convex in shape. The internal hole measures 7.5mm diameter.

A modern model aeroplane made from sheet copper alloy, possibly made by converting a coin. The model has both Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire characteristics. There is a deep groove on the lower side of the fuselage while on the sides are impressions, possibly of the teeth of a vice. The object may have been intended as a brooch. See also SUR-97E596.
