A Roman copper-alloy steelyard balance arm. The arm is complete but bent centrally and now in two pieces. The upper face has 11 grooves along its upper edge as well as a line of small pits. On the lower side is a group of three Xs. The arm is oval in section and has a button terminal. At the attachment end are three projecting loops, two of which are infilled with iron.
