An Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy fob dangler. The object has a circular frame in which sit three spirals, each slightly concave, which are ordered to leave three apertures of pointed oval form. A collared stem projects from the centre of the reverse and this ends in a broken suspension loop. Fobs or danglers are a poorly understood artefact type, and may have been hung from items of equipment, personal apparel or harness decoration (Jope 2000, pp 285).
