An early Saxon short long brooch with a trefoil headplate around a central square. The headplate has D-shaped arms, two of which are missing, and two vertical lines of crescentic stamps. The bow is arched with facetted corners. The narrow footplate has two pairs of ridges. The remaining part of the spring is iron. The catchplate is missing.

There is a band of annulets on the edge of the upper arm and traces of a similar band on the right hand edge. The top corners of the central plate each have an annulet. An Early Anglo-Saxon gilded copper-alloy saucer brooch, complete save for the missing iron pin, and with slight probable plough damage to the rim. The brooch has a central domed flat-topped circular boss with two concentric circular ridges around it. A broad field outside is infilled with geometricised zoomorphic relief decoration in Salin's Style I. A profile head can clearly be seen, looking right with open pointed jaws and a rounded brow. A tongue-shaped terminal from an Early Medieval copper-alloy possible great square-headed brooch. The fragment suggests the brooch has been torn and broken. At the break is a pair of scrolled side projections. The brooch has a rivet and a separate sheet fitting on the back. On the front are four concentric U-shaped ridges which enclose a central oval ridge at the upper edge of which the rivet is visible. The ridges are randomly decorated with punched decoration.

The external frame is roughly octagonal and comprises a series of four scrolling trilobate leaf-like forms which alternate with four projecting collets which contain white glass domes, two of which are missing.
