A medieval copper-alloy seal matrix of pointed-oval form. The design possibly depicts a bird taking another bird, or a bird feeding its chicks on a nest; it may be intended as a 'pelican in her piety' motif, an allegorical symbol of Jesus Christ. The lettering is difficult to read, but is probably + CREDE MIChI (Believe in Me); it is also difficult to see borders to this inscription, but there are hints of at least an inner if not also an outer border, both probably plain.
