A silver cut halfpenny of Stephen (1135-54), Awbridge type (c.1154-1158; North 881; Mack 99-135), mint and moneyer uncertain. Ref: North 1994: 203; Mack 1966: 55-8. A fragment of a medieval silver penny of Stephen (1135-54), Watford type (c.1136-45; North 873), uncertain mint and moneyer (see below). Ref: North 1994: 203. The is fragmentary, with c.50-60% of the coin remaining, struck on a squarish blank. Little of the obverse of reverse inscription remains, with the surviving reverse appearing to read +HIL[ ] perhaps indicating the moneyer is Hildibrand of Norwich although this is extremely uncertain.
