A Roman strap mounted (skirted) copper-alloy terret or rein guide fitting from a wooden yoke. The loop has an internal diameter of 24.26mm and sits on a rectangular waisted collar. The skirt is lozengiform in plan and has raised side projections which hold the socketed ends of a (now lost) iron lower loop. Circa 1st - 3rd century AD.

A fragment of a Post Medieval copper-alloy strap decoration. One of an original pair of attachment points survives on the hollow back and this is covered with iron corrosion. The object was originally oval and had twelve raised bosses around its original circumference. Centrally is a raised square and saltire with bud-like elements in the angles.
