A medieval silver annular brooch with intact pin. The frame is formed from two serpentine bodies with a head at each end. The heads face the loop which holds the pin, and the pin seating hollow. Each head has a blunt snout, pellets eyes which sit in hollows, and raised ears. The bodies are decorated with zigzags, formed by the surrounding silver being removed to leave the decoration raised. The pin is collared and the tip curves over the frame.
