A medieval silver annular brooch with intact pin. The frame is formed from two serpentine bodies with a head at each end. The heads face the loop which holds the pin, and the pin seating hollow. Each head has a blunt snout, pellets eyes which sit in hollows, and raised ears. The bodies are decorated with zigzags, formed by the surrounding silver being removed to leave the decoration raised.
