A copper-alloy Roman dupondius of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161) dating to the period AD 154-155 (Reece Period 7). LIBERTAS COS IIII, SC reverse type depicting Libertas holding a pileus in an out stretched right hand with a sceptre. Mint of Rome. The coin is little worn and the flan is sub-square.
This is a Coin of British Association similar to examples published by D. Walker from the Sacred Spring at Bath, Walker, 1988: pp. 294, 297, no. 20ff, pl. XXXV; RIC III, p. 142, no. 933.
