A Post Medieval silver ferrule or mount, probably from a Picque cane. The sheet silver mount is now distorted but may have been a tapering cylinder. Each end is petalled with six rounded lobes. The decoration comprises narrow punched lines made of zig zags and punched bands of short lines which form Vs. A triangle appears on each petal, the latter each infilled with a single dot. Dimensions: Length 27.54mm; Weight 3.55g.

A Post Medieval gilded copper-alloy military button of the 51st Regiment of Foot (King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry). The button shows a crown over 51 in a wreath with MINDEN in a box below. On the reverse is the maker's name I M GOWAN GERRARD ST LONDON. Minden refers to the Battle of Minden in 1759, a decisive engagement during the Seven years War. Minden lies on the River Weser between Hanover and Osnabruck.

A copper alloy brooch comprising a triangular plate with serrated edges and with a projecting arm. On the back of the arm is a catchplate. There is a raised triangle at the junction of the arm and plate and this has four transverse grooves. At each corner of the triangle is a separate rivet. An unusual gilded copper alloy probable strap end of complex scrolling form. The attachment end is split and has one rivet hole. The terminal is thickened and has two collars. Both sides are the same and are decorated with scrolls and apparent projecting faces. A 16th-century date seems likely. Length: 39.61 mm; Width: 19.15 mm; Thickness: 6.62 mm; Weight: 10.63 g This object can be compared with NMS-BC1CA7 and LEIC-473B16 on this database.

A pair of post medieval silver circular slightly domed cuff link buttons with separately-attached loops and a joining wire loop. The buttons bear the owner's worn initials P/I (the I is barred), one initial on each button, and each has the maker's stamp WW in a rectangle on the back. The diameters of the cuff links are 4.8mm and 5.6mm respectively. The links are likely to be of 18th century date.

A complete post medieval silver bodkin with a long rectangular eye and a circular hole in the terminal. Below the eye is an engraved capital E. Near the point on the same side is a transverse line and a pair of diagonal lines - however it is not clear if these latter are intentional as there are similar but fainter diagonal lines on the same side. Similar items can be found on the PAS database: WAW-5AA6F4 (2010 T577), WILT-9C13B5 (2009 T234) and NARC-029CF5 (2011 T292).

A silver post-medieval anonymous Venetian gazzetta of two soldi dating to the mid-16th century. Ref: CNI III, p.596-604; pl. XXXIX nos. 12-17, 19-24. The coin has been pierced near to the edge, probably for use as a pendant. This removed a small amount of the inscription. It is pierced from front to back, to the right of the Lion of St Mark (obverse) and through the head of Justice (reverse).

A very worn post-medieval copper Gazzetta (or 2 soldi) of the Venetian Republic for territories in Dalmatia and Albania, produced in 1710 (see CNI VI, nos. 83, 84 and 100). The coin is very worn and corroded with only a part of the reverse inscripton fully visible, and none of the obverse design surviving (this would have shown the Lion of St Mark).

An incomplete cast copper alloy coin balance for gold sovereigns, now in two joining pieces. The complete object had two pans of which parts survive. The balance dates to the first half of the 19th century Pan 1 is stamped with: SOVEREIGN W[HOLE] Pan 2 is stamped with: SOVER[EIGN HALF] The weight itself bears a stamped crown and an iron pin forms the pivot.
