In the upper field is a pair of five-petalled flowers, in the lower field is a fleur-de-lys.The plate is pierced for three rivets. The supporters suggest that this lockplate has royal connections and the form of the lion in particular is consistent with a later 17th century date. Nonsuch Palace is close to the findspot.
