A cast, copper-alloy mount of unknown date, probably Roman to late medieval date, c.AD 43-1450. Description: the object is flat and circular in plan with a raised concentric ridge midway through the plate. In the centre of the plate is a sub-circular aperture with a raise edge. All the way round the outer edge of the plate are twenty-two irregularly spaced, stamped ring and dots. The back is undecorated but there is a small rusted mark and a small circular spot/annulet on a perpendicular axis. The artefact is dark green in colour. Measurements: 33.2mm diameter of plate; 8mm …
