Cast copper alloy decorative mount in the shape of a child's head wearing a radiate crown.The mount is patinated green through deposition in soil and is incomplete as the neck show signs of damage where the head has been removed. It is hollow cast with the rear face showing no means of attachment. There are a number of these mounts on the database, with dating uncertain, Roman or Neo-Classical design, Caroline McDonald, Museum of London, agrees Neo- Classical but can't rule out it being Roman. for other examples see SF8645, SF-FE380A and SF-8DBEE6 amongst others.

A small cast copper-alloy buckle now missing its pin. The buckle is of the double loop oval type and is undecorated. The reverse of the buckle is flat while the obverse is moulded. The artefact is worn with a green patina. It measures 18.0mm length x 21.6mm width x 3.1mm thick and weighs 2.69g. As Whitehead (1996, 52) states, undecorated buckles of this form are undiagnostic and could date from either the medieval or post-medieval periods (c.1250-1650 AD).

A post medieval copper alloy decorated end plate, or 'rove', from a whittle tang knife. The rove is sub-oval with one pointed end and handcut uneven sides. The rove is slightly domed, with the convex side covered in raised dots (punched through from the concave face). In the centre is a rivet hole. It measures 22.7mm length x 16.1mm width x 2.5mm thickness and weighs 1.76g. It is likely the end plate of a series of roves, similar to one excavated in London and published in Egan (2005, 94-95, ref. 415), dated to c. 1650 to 1700 AD.

There is a set of coarse teeth (c. 1-2 per 5mm) and fine teeth (c. 6 per 5mm). The fragment is undecorated and is mid brown. It measures 17.4mm (length) x 50.9mm (width) x 3.0mm (thickness) and weighs 1.86g. A similar comb is illustrated in Egan et al 1991 ( 368-370, ref. 1721) and is from an early 14th century deposit. Centrally there is a left-facing lion regardant against a red enamelled field and with four additional red inlays in the corner projections. Each lobe contains a now corroded and distorted lys on a blue enamel background. It measures and weighs Nick Griffith suggests that enamelled harness pendants date from c. 1250 to 1400 AD (Clarke 1995, 62).

Half of a set of Medieval to Modern shears. One complete blade and arm survive, along with roughly half of the broader connecting loop. The shears are undecorated three pairs of double notches on the sides of the arm. The shears are covered in iron corrosion and part of the edge of the blade has chipped. Shears are often undecorated or simply decorated and there shape changes little between the Medieval and Modern periods, therefore a broad 1200-1900 AD date is suggested. An incomplete copper alloy toggle, of Post-Medieval date. The object has an ovoid body with pointed ends. From the long side of the ovoid projects an integral shaft with a flattened double loop terminal. One of the loops is now broken. The object is undecorated; it is covered in a thick dark green patina but file marks are visible on all three parts. The patina has worn off on part of the shaft revealing a brass coloured alloy core. The object measures 25.8mm (length) x 23.0mm (width) x 8.0mm (thickness) and weighs 7.22g.

An incomplete post medieval buckle missing its spindle and chape. The frame is trapezoidal with curving corners. The upper surface of the frame is decorated with groups of tranverse grooves at either end of the spindle and on the outer edges of the buckle. The frame widen on the arms to take a separate spindle; the remains of the spindle can be seen as corrosion in the holes. The frame measures 21.6mm (length) x 30.9mm (width) x 4.7mm (thickness) and weighs 4.42g. A very similar buckle is dated by Whitehead to c. 1660-1720 AD (1996, 99 ref. 620).

TAVERNE = The mermaid Reverse: *IN. PATER. NOSTER. ROW = R.I.F. This token is slightly crumpled but otherwise well preserved; it measures 15.0mm (diameter) x 0.6mm (thickness) and weighs 0.55g. A handle fragment of a post medieval glazed Surrey/Hampshire redware cup. The upper join of the handle has attached part of the rim and internal face of the cup. At the lower join the break is on the join itself, so none of the body of the cup is attached. The cup is internally glazed with a clear glaze. The fragment measures 69.2mm (height) x 56.4mm (width) x 14.1mm (thickness) and weighs 54.52g. This style of redware cup dates to the late 17th to early 18th century AD.

A piece of lead alloy waste disc with post medieval maker mark stamps on both sides. There are at least six stamps on boths faces; all the visible stamps contain the letters 'IM' within a beaded border. The marks are not identical, suggesting that this piece was used to perfect a stamp in production. The disc measures 38.6mm (length) x 36.4mm (width) x 4.4mm (thickness) and weighs 37.73g. The style of the stamp suggests that it is 17th or early 18th century in date.

It has been filed and polished; one end retains the distal condyle but the other has been narrowed (from 36.4mm/ 92.0mm along the) to create a pointed tip. An incomplete post medieval knife, missing the blade and parts of the handle. The core of the knife is an iron tang with a intergal end plate and finial knop. The other end of the surviving tang is broken. On the tang sit six ovoid bone sections which widen as they near the finial end.
