A Post Medieval copper alloy Nuremburg jetton, rose/orb issue, anonymous stock, dating AD 1553-1584. The obverse depicts a series of crowns and fleur de lys around a central flower. The inscription reads "[---]AO[---]OB.AVOBAV[---]A[---]". The reverse depicts the Reichsapfel within a double tressure of three curves and three angle. The inscription reads "OBV[---]OABVAOBA[---]". This example has been mistruck as the text is not aligned at the ends. It is similar to an example in Mitchiner (1988, no. 1373) and appears to be ascribed to Hans Schultes (AD 1553-1584). The ornament around the tressure on the reverse is possibly connected to the Schultes workshop of Iorg and Hans I (ibid.)

A medieval English copper alloy jetton. It has suffered various losses; there is a central circular hole which may be a purposeful piercing. The jetton measures 24.0mm (diameter) x 0.7mm (thickness) and weighs 1.14g. A similar obverse is published in Mitchiner (1988, 120; cf. ref. 262), which he suggests was "probably not [an] official issue..." and dates to c. 1346 to 1360 AD.

A worn medieval copper alloy french jetton, probably attributable to Charles V, dating to 1364 to 1380 AD. The jetton is brassy in colour apart from a section near the circumference on both faces that is covered in a black corrosion product. It measures 23.5mm (diameter) x 0.5mm (thickness) and weighs 0.78g. A similar jetton is published in Mitchiner (1988, 174 ref. 439) which is described as one of "a very few" crown device jettons that were struck "at a time when he was experimenting with the use of new devices".

Mitchiner dates similar anonymous rose and orb jettons to the late sixteenth to early seventeenth century AD (1988, 429; cf. 1470ff.).

A post medieval copper alloy jetton of uncertain master, probably from Nuremburg. The obverse is known as the 'Rechen meister'; a man at a table using jettons. The reverse contains most of the alphabet in rows. This design dates to the sixteenth centuries, with the majority of unsigned examples dating to the third quater of that century (Mitchiner 1988, 415). This example measures 26.3mm (diameter) x 1.1mm (thickness) and weighs 2.71g.

A post medieval copper-alloy 'English style' Nuremburg jetton of George II struck by Iohann Weidinger or Iohann Friedrich Weidinger. The obverse depicts George II, who was crowned in 1727. However the reverse contains the name of Iohann, rather than his son Iohann Friedrich, Weidinger, who died in December 1727 (cf Mitchiner 1988 pp 519-521, ref. 1848ff. & 1854). The obverse legends contains the spelling "WOLFF LAVFER", and the double F is attributed to Wolf Lauffer III (Mitchener 1988, 483). Also, the three lis are comparable in size and shape to jettons by that master included in Mitchener (1988, 494 cf. 1754 & 1755)
