A circular gilt copper-alloy Anglo-Saxon Mount decorated in Anglo-Saxon Style II consisting of a frieze of four quadrupeds, each with a round head turned back so that the long oval jaws bite its own body, while the typically longer front leg interlinks with the shorter back leg on the next quadruped to the right. There are excellent parallels for this basic motif in the Staffordshire Hoard, notably in band 1 and 3 of the helmet cheek pieces, and countless other variants on the theme from Kentish disc brooches to Sutton Hoo. A cast copper alloy mount, dating to the early Roman period, in the form of the head, neck, and forequarters of a running boar.
The mount is hollow-cast and depicts a boar semi-naturalistically. The boar has a large head, oval in cross-section and tapering to a flat oval snout. One nostril is visible in the form of a pellet on the snout, the second is missing due to the loss of patina. Either side of the snout is a moulded ridge, probably representing tusks. The eyes are worn and not visible and above are two ears. The right ear (when viewed facing the object) is wider, measuring 4mm …

A medieval silver fragment in the shape of a bearded male head dating to the late fourteenth or fifteenth century. The beard is forked and the hair of the fragment is parted between a rising tuft in the middle of the scalp. The face is worn with the nose now rubbed away. The reverse of the fragment shows a small pin which has broken. There is also a breakage at the small tuft of hair on the head of the object. The object was cast and the pin was integral to this process as there are no signs of soldering on the reverse.

Cast copper alloy mount. The object consists of a lozenge-shaped body, each end of which expands to form a stylised fleur-de-lis. This is formed at each end from an oval pierced with two circular holes; projecting from the centre of each oval is a triangular knop which terminates with a rounded point. The central lozenge is decorated with a single incised groove which borders the object. On the hollowed reverse of the object are two sub-rectangular spikes for attachment. The object has a dark brown patina and is in good condition. Compare CORN-169AA4, which is dated to the 17th century.
