A copper alloy trumpet brooch of Hull Type 157C dating to the Roman period. The brooch is nearly identical to an example in Hattatt (1989, p. 327, Fig. 186, no. 1528). The head end of the bow expands outward in a typical 'trumpet-like' form with a broadly D-shaped cross-section. The object tapers in thickness from the head curving down towards the leg of the brooch. The foot is missing. At the rear of the head is the top of a pierced lug through which the spring would have passed holding it in place. The spring, pin and catchplate are missing. The terminal comprises elaborate openwork of inverted M-shape with a lozenge-shaped terminal and side scrolls with four circular depressions on the outside edge of the frame. Each terminal of the object forms the opposite spiral twist of the clasp with two wires passing either side wrapping around the hoop of the bracelet. Cast lead spindle whorl dating to the Medieval period. It is circular in plan and biconical in shape. There is a central circular perforation. One face of the object is bears the inscription OWNA(.)OIV. There is one pellet below each letter circling the perforation. The other surface has the inscription AYVYOX. There are pellets below, above and in between the letters. The outer rim has a raised moulded border as does the rim of the central perforation. It has a mid grey patina. This object is discussed in Standley (2016, 283).

Small fragment of possible roof tile dating to the early Medieval period. It is irregular in plan and in section. There are two regular holes at either side of the fragment. The larger hole is likely to be a break from a large inclusion, while the smaller more regular hole has been fired and was probably deliberate. It was possibly used to attach the tile. It has a rough orange patina and one visible inclusion.

Neck and shoulder of small green glass pharmaceutical phial dating to 1600-1700. It has a short neck. The glass is pale green in colour and quite thin, 1.44mm. The rim is 5.27mm wide and most of it has broken away. Only one side of the shoulder remains. Phials were introduced during the seventeenth century and continued into the nineteenth century. They were hand blown and the earliest types are of thin green glass.

Small blue glass bead dating from the late Iron Age to the Roman period. It is a medium sized generic bead. This type is particularly common in the late Iron Age and the Roman Period. Some are also known on early Anglo-Saxon necklaces. The bead is sub-spherical in plan with flattened ends and a central hole. The surface of the object has been chipped and scratched. The bead contains small white inclusions.The internal diameter of the perforation measures 3.45mm. This type of bead can be classified as Guido Group 6 IVb (Guido 1978, 155ff.). Glass bead dating from the Iron Age to the Roman period. The object is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The object is of uneven thickness. The bead has a large sub-circular perforation. Where the bead is thickest the internal side is straight, while it is curved around the rest of the perforation. The glass is a frosted light green in colour and contains air bubbles. The bead is 7.38mm at its thickest part and 5.20mm at its thinnest part. These types of beads occur throughout Britain over a long period of time.

An incomplete blue glass bead of an Oldbury type. The object is bun shaped and is decorated with three white swirls. Only one half of the bead survives however it appears to be a modern break. The object appears to be capped, ie different glass on the outside and on the core, which is quite rare. The bead can be classified as Guideo Class 6, M.Guido, The Glass Beads of the Prehistoric and Roman Periods in Britain and Ireland (1978)53-57 and 112-117(schedules). Similar beads which can be found on the database are YORYM-7DAAE6 and LIN-3A9556.

Orange glass bead of uncertain date. The object is sub-circular in plan and has a cylindrical cross-section. The bead has a circular shaft which has an internal diameter of 1.02mm. The glass is simi-translucent and contains darker orange specks in places. There are beads like this in the Medieval period, but they are much more common in the 19th and 20th century. It is therefore more likely to be modern in date.

A blue glass bead probably dating from the Roman to the Early Medieval period, (45-1066). The object is circular in plan and conical. It has a central circular perforation measuring 3.35mm in diameter. The glass is cloudy dark blue. The outer surface is covered with shallow circumfrential grooves.

A sherd from the base of a glass bottle, dating to the c. AD 17th - 19th Century. The fragment is slightly corroded giving some areas more of a brown colour. Other areas appear like a dark blue which goes somewhat multi-coloured in the light, showing greens and pinks. It weighs 29.5g, and is c. 37mm in length, c. 51mm in width and c. 10mm thick.

A light blue glass bead of Iron Age to post-medieval date. The bead is spherical in shape with a circular hole through the centre and is made from an opaque light blue glass. The hole has an internal diameter of 4.5mm. The outer surface of the bead is cracked and pitted in places. Dimensions: 12mm in diameter, 16.5mm in length, 2.85g. A silvered lead alloy or high tin-content copper alloy three dimensional figurine of the Madonna and Child of Medieval date known as a sedes sapientiae or 'seat of wisdom'.
