Four fragments of copper alloy casting waste. The fragments were one object upon discovery and have since broken and seperated. Each fragment is irregular in plan and hs a mid-green patina. Dimensions: Large: 28mm x 30mm Medium: 11mm x 15mm 2 X small: 10-15mm Combined weight: 17.5g Due to the nature of this find an exact date can not be given. However a Bronze Age flanged axehead LVPL-AC4D8B was recovered from the same field suggesting an early date is possible.

An incomplete fragment of a copper alloy stirrup dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The front of the object is decorated with three raised vertical ridges. The rear face is undecorated. Extending out from the one side of the cover-plate the stirrup arm (broken into two parts) curves inwards. The stirrup arm is D-shaped in cross section and widens and flattens where it terminates in an ancient break. The object has a smooth dark brown patina on each face of the extending plate. A complete cast copper alloy long flanged axehead (developed flat axe) dating from the final phase of the Early to the earliest Middle Bronze Age (c. 2000 - 1700 BC). The axehead is most probably of the axe type Arreton which is dated to Early Bronze Age III, of metalworking stage V, which corresponds to Needham's (1996) Period 3 circa 2000 - 1700 CAL BC. A flint core of Mesolithic to early Neolithic date. The object is conical with one platform at the top of the object and parallel striking down one face. Ripples are visible where one flake has been removed and at least four blades. On the opposite face an area of cortex remains to the side of which the core is a mottled blueish-white and yellow colour due to discolouration from the soil. An incomplete lead alloy medieval pilgrim's ampulla, dating from c. AD 1350-1530. The bowl is semi-circular in plan and the neck is sub-rectangular in cross-section flaring outwards at the top. The flask is decorated on one face with a scalloped-edge pattern reaching from the centre to the bottom of the flask. An incomplete cast copper alloy, double loop, spectacle buckle dating from the early Post-Medieval period, AD 1500 - 1650. The frame has two oval loops with a moulded rosette on each outer edge and a small, rounded knop at each end of the strap bar. The upper face of the buckle is bevelled and the underside is flat. The pin is missing. The buckle frame is corroded but some smooth dark brown or black patina survives.
