A lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to medieval date. The object is circular in plan with curved sides and flattened faces.The object has a large central circular perforation which measures 9mm in diameter. Each face is worn with a light white patina and is undecorated.
Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1100-1500.

A lead alloy token of Medieval to Post-Medieval date, circa AD 1200 - 1800. The object is sub-circular in plan and flat. The object is decorated with a voided long cross and a single pellet in each angle of the cross on one face and a worn possible plain cross on the opposite face towards one side. The object has light brownish grey patina and is worn.
Dimensions: 18mm in diameter, 3mm thick, 4.4g.

A silver Roman mount. Treasure case: 2016 T35
Silver horse-harness pendant, originally probably teardrop-shaped by now broken through the middle so missing its terminal. The pendant is composed of sheet silver that narrows to a strip of metal to form the hoop, folded over the back and riveted. Although the circular rivet survives, the hoop itself is broken through and missing. The surviving pendant is decorated with lines of punched dots that radiate out from the rivet and a central straight line. In addition there are triangles of punched dots on each shoulder.

A cast copper alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period. The object is heater or shield shaped in plan with a projection at the top which would have held an attachment loop when complete. The remains of a heraldic device can be seen on the outer face however it is too worn and corroded to decipher. There is a thick layer of degraded red enamelling on the outer face. The rear of the object is undecorated and has a rough, mid-green patina.
It can be dated to the 14th century.

A copper alloy strap end which dates from the medieval period. The object is a two piece strap end with a cast front plate and a copper alloy sheet back plate. The strap end is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section with a terminal which is shaped like a fleur-de-lis with each side lobe splitting into two at the ends. The back plate is held in place by two rivets, one at either end of the sub-rectangular section and each of which remain in-situ. File marks are visible on the back plate.

A copper alloy thimble probably of medieval date, (1100-1500). The object is sub-circular in plan and is domed. The thimble is covered in irregular pits some of which are very deep. The pits run in two concentric circles on the outer edge of the domed top while the centre of the dome is blank or un-pitted. The pits continue down the sides of the object. At the base of the object on the outer face is a blank area.
The object is light green and corroded. It has been damaged due to the plough. This thimble can be dated from the Medieval to the Tudor period, Cuddeford, (1994), p48.

A copper alloy rowel from a spur of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The rowel is in the form of a six pointed star and has a central circular perforation for attachment to the spur. The perforation has an internal diameter of 4mm. The object has a mid-green patina and shows file marks are visible.
Such rowels are undiagnostic and a wide medieval to post-medieval date is therefore offered; similar examples can be found illustrated in Read (2001, 66; refs. 505-507).

A copper alloy unidentified object of possible Roman date. The object is irregular in plan and may be in the form of an animal such as a dolphin or a dragon. The object has a curved and pointed 'head' from the top of which is a triangular projection. Behind the 'head' is a circular hole measuring 4mm in diameter for attachment. The object has a triangular arch at the back and curves round where it terminates in a possible tail. The 'tail' is encrusted with a brown corrosion, probably iron, and what appears to be the remains of an iron rivet attached.

A cast copper alloy 'fob' or 'dangler' dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period, (c 200BC-100AD).
The fob is pyramidal in form with a triangular frame, openwork decoration and a suspension loop. Within the centre of the frame is an integral triskele motif. In the centre of the triskele is a raised circular boss measuring 8mm in diameter and 4mm high. The boss is surrounded by a raised moulded circumferential border. At each corner of the frame is a decorative boss measuring 3mm in width. Two are incomplete due to damage from within the plough soil.

A cast copper-alloy handle lug, probably from a chafing dish handle, of Late Medieval or Early Post-Medieval date (AD 1400 - AD 1600). The lug is oval in plan and rectangular in cross-section with rounded corners. At one end is the stub of a circular rivet which would have attached to the vessel wall. The loop has a slightly off centre hole through it, drilled from each face, to hold the handle; the hole 7mm by 6mm. File marks are visible on each face of the object. It has a mid-green patina.

An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy furniture fitting in the form of an escutcheon plate (c. 1650-c. 1750). The object is circular in plan and concave at the rear. The plate is decorated with circumferential bands. In the centre of the object is a perforation where the drop handle would have attached. The metal is a matt reddish brown colour with light green copper-alloy corrosion products.

A copper alloy Medieval or early Post Medieval (14th to 18th century) curtaining fitting or suspension loop: A copper alloy sub-oval copper alloy ring with a D-shaped section. The outer edge is slightly flattened on one side while on the side opposite is a slight projection. The surface is corroded and pitted.

An incomplete and Early Post Medieval copper alloy book clasp, dating to the 16th or 17th Century. The clasp is formed from a thin rectangular strip of metal, broken at one end and with an integral blunt projecting hook at the other. The broken end would probably have expanded into a serrated edge. The upper face of the object is decorated with three visible punched ring-and-dot motifs. One half of a pair of possible shears or knife of uncertain date. The object is iron with a slightly curved blade and a rectangular-sectioned tang. The tang is in line with the upper edge of the object. The cutting edge measures 6.29mm thick while the tang is 3.44mm thick and 7.00mm wide. The object is heavily encrusted with iron corrosion obscuring any detail and therefore cannot be dated with certainty.
