An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of the dragonesque type, dating from AD 75 - 175. The body of the object, which is complete, is curvilinear forming an S-shaped zoomorphic plate. Each end of the object terminates with a zoomorphic head with a single raised globular "eye" in the centre. The head which joins to the body of the object with a D-shaped sectioned bar has a rounded up right ear and a pointed snout or beak. An almost complete copper alloy disc-on-pin buckle of medieval date (AD1200-1350). The object has an annular frame which is oval in cross-section. The frame has a notched constriction in which the pin rests. Narrow notches on the back of the frame would have held a wire bar at right angles to the pin, but this is missing. The cast copper alloy pin is looped round the constriction. The centre of the pin expands into a circular disc decorated with an oval hollow in the centre, (Redmayne Type B). An incomplete copper alloy small-long brooch of Early Medieval date, about AD 500 - 600. The head plate is missing. The upper bow is curved in profile arching outwards from the missing headplate before straightening to form the leg. An incomplete copper alloy dress hook, of Read's Class E, Type 3, dating to the early post-medieval period. The object is circular in plan and flat with a rectangular attachment loop. The hook is missing due to an ancient break. The dress hook is decorated with an equal-armed cross with a central pellet within a linear circle and surrounded by openwork. The outer edge of the object is engrailed and beaded. The object has a mid green-brown patina. Dimensions: 22mm in length, 17mm in width, 1mm thick, 1.7g A similar example which can be found in Read, (2008), is no.370 p99.

The weight is shield shaped with a raised moulded design featuring a large fleur-de-lis on the upper surface above which is a bi-foliate crown. Treasure Case: 2017 T65 A fragment of a silver handle of post-medieval date, possibly from a seal matrix. The handle has is in the form of an openwork trefoil with a projecting rounded knop at the top. Oval lobes decorate the object above and below the lower openwork ovals, one on each side. Below the trefoil the object thickens and narrows forming the top of the neck of the handle which is hexagonal in cross-section. The object terminates with a recent break. A copper alloy finger ring of medieval date. The ring has an undecorated hoop of even width and no shoulders, measuring 5mm in width and 21mm in diameter. The bezel which is separately soldered onto the hoop is in the form of a cross pattee which is pierced in the centre with a circular hole. The object has a mid-green patina and is in good condition. Examples of similar finger rings in silver can be found on the PAS database and have been dated to c.1200-1400, see NMS-D16488, NMS-280BC7 and YORYM-3ECB52. The object consists of a copper alloy back plate with undulating edges and three hollow-domed bosses each of which has three circles of twisted wire and six raised pellets. The wider expanded end is square in cross-section and has an iron core from which projects the remains of a possible circular rivet for attachment. The upper half of the object has a cylindrical 'head' each end of which is flattened.
