Cast copper alloy object dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period, (1100-1700). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and conical. The top of the object has been damaged. Three horizontal grooves decorate the two widest faces just below the break. An incised line runs down each side of each corner. Between the lines the resulting panel is decorated with diagonal grooves. The base of the object is broken on three sides. Cast copper alloy fitting probably dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is oval in plan and flat. The object has two rectangular perforations between which are two vertical flat decorative ridges. Two horizontal ridges run from the outer edge of the perforations to the edge of the object. Each side of the object is damaged next to the ridges. The rear of the object is undecorated and appars to have been hammered. The object possibly functioned as a lock plate however this is uncertain. It has a dark green patina and is in good condition.

Cast object of uncertain date and function. The object appears to have a copper alloy core and an iron outer surface. The object is in the form of a trefoil and decorated with three large openwork ovals, between which are three triangular shaped perforations. The centre of the object is triangular with a circular perforation. Six rounded knops decorate the outer face of the frame. The object has a brownish orange patina with patches of copper alloy corrosion.

Cast bronze object of uncertain function and date. It is rectangular in plan and in cross-section. It is very regular and has two wedge shaped indentations on either side of the object. A shallow leaf-shaped depression is in the centre of the object and runs between the indentations. Striations run along the lenght of the object on either side of the depression. The lower surface is flat. The function of the object is unknown. It has a dark mottled black patina.

The function of the object is unknown however the patina indicates that it may date to the Bronze Age.

Cast bronze object of uncertain and date. It is sub-oval in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The object is decorated with a series of incised lines. The lines run down each edge at a diagonal angle creating almost a herringbone effect. However they do not meet in the middle. These lines stop mid way down the object where there are four horizontal lines. Below this is a circular, sun-burst like decoration. The other side is undecorated. It has a dark green patina.

Silver artefact comprising a bar with three thistle heads spaced at even intervals.
The purpose of this object is unclear. Something may have been attached to the bar between the thistle ornaments and turned around it.
Given that we are unaware of its function, it is very difficult to date. So possibly later than 1710. As the find cannot be securely dated to pre-1710 it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

Cast bronze object of uncertain date and function. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The surface of the object is uneven; one edge is straight while the others have broken in antiquity. There is a large circular perforation at the top edge of the object and a smaller perforation diagonal to this at the lower edge. These may have been intended to contain rivets. The function of the object is unknown however the patina indicates that it has some age to it. It has a mid-green patina.

Cast copper alloy object of uncertain function and date. The object is sub-circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The outer edges are jagged due to old breaks. One surface of the object is raised and rounded. The other surface irregular with a central circular depression. The depression is quite shallow and rough. Below the depression at the rounded end of the object are traces of gilding. Due to the fragmentary state of this object it is unclear what its function was although the gilding indicates that it may have had a decorative purpose.

A cast copper alloy object possibly Roman to Post-Medieval date. The object consists of a hooked anchor-shaped zoomorphic terminal. The zoomorphic element appears to be of two bird heads with feather effect casting leading in towards the center. An openwork triangle seperates the two zoomorphic ends. The necks of the creatures come together in the central shaft which is broken. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated, suggesting that it may have been designed to lay flat against something.

Cast copper alloy zoomorphic terminal of uncertain date and function. The object is in the form of a snake head and is rectangular in cross-section. The mouth of the snake is rounded and consists of a wide and deep groove. Below and above the mouth are small transverse grooves which define the mouth. To each side of the head slightly behind and above the mouth are circular depressions representing the eyes. These are enclosed in a pointed oval groove.
