The zoomorphic element appears to be of two bird heads with feather effect casting leading in towards the center. An openwork triangle seperates the two zoomorphic ends. A small medieval piece of sheet metal, rectangular in shape, terminating at one end in a point. The centre of the pointed end has an aperture punched through it. Around the edges there is a border of tooled decoration of roughly zigzag formation. The reverse is undecorated. The object is silver and dates from the fifteenth century. Dimensions: length 16 mm, width 8 mm. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
