The object has a dark grey patina and is in fair condition.

An lead alloy object of uncertain function. The object is circular in plan and is D-shaped in cross-section. The flat face is rough and uneven with no visible pitting. Due to its undiagnostic nature it cannot be dated closely however the condition of the lead suggests a Post-Medieval date is likely. The object may have functioned as a palm guard however there are no diagnostic features. Palm guards were for use by a leather worker to protect the palm whilst stitching. Bailey (1995, 64-65) dates such objects to the 17th century onwards.

Between each face at the base project two curved strips of lead alloy which taper in width to a point, these may have origionally joined to form a loop. An iron rivet runs between attaching both faces together. The object is decorated on each face with a central moulded pannel of rings and diagonal ridges. Three verticle ridges decorate one side of the central pannel.

A copper alloy object of uncertain function and date. The object consists of a copper alloy loop below which is a worn ancient break. The loop has an internal diameter of 5.5mm. Where the body of the object has broken away the break is 'cross-shaped' with two short rounded projections or 'arms' to either side. The object has a light green patina and is pitted in places. The function and date of this object are currently unknown however the patina and construction of the object suggests that it may be of Roman date. A copper alloy unidentified object probably dating from the medieval to the post medieval date. The object is bifrucated at one end with a triangular shaped void between each projection. The opposite end of the object is incomplete and forms a U-shape due to the incomplete terminal. Below the incomplete terminal are two horizontal ridges decorated on the outer face with ropework. The object is narrowed in the centre which is decorated by a transverse band measuring 3mm in width. Each end of the object is decorated with a grooved saltire cross (or X). An incomplete lead alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section. One end of the object has a strip of flattened probable silver wrapped around three of the faces. The silver appears to be overlaying the lead alloy and measures 5mm in width at its widest point. An incomplete lead alloy impression of a coin. The impression in the object is of a penny of George III, (1760-1820). The legend reads GEORBIUS III D G REX; surrounding the laureate bust of the king facing right. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The object has a raised rim. The object has been bent and the edges damaged probably due to the plough. It has a dark brown patina beneath which is a dark grey surface where it has been damaged.
