An incomplete copper alloy fragment of uncertain function. The object is D-shaped in cross-section and sub-rectangular in plan with a rounded terminal. The rounded terminal curves backwards slightly however it is unclear whether this is intentional or due to damage. Above the terminal is a transverse ridge, above this the centre of the object is decorated with four punched circles. Either side of the punched circles are diagonal grooves. A fragment of a copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. One face is decorated with six curved grooves. The opposite face is undulating and worn. The fragment has a curved outer edge and is broken on all the other sides. The object has a mid-green patina which is blackened in places. It is possibly part of a figurine and the patina suggests it is no later than medieval in date however is too fragmentary to identify further. An incomplete copper alloy pin or implement probably of Roman date. The object has a flattened oval head and an oval sectioned shaft. The head of the object is pierced in the centre with a perforation measuring 3.5mm in diameter. Each face of the object is undecorated and the shaft terminates with an ancient break. There is no visible collar or decoration at the junction between the head and the shaft. The exact function of this object is uncertain however it may have been a cosmetic implement, pin or clothing fattener. The object has a dark brown patina and is in fair condition. …

A copper alloy object of uncertain function and date. The object consists of a copper alloy loop below which is a worn ancient break. The loop has an internal diameter of 5.5mm. Where the body of the object has broken away the break is 'cross-shaped' with two short rounded projections or 'arms' to either side. The object has a light green patina and is pitted in places. The function and date of this object are currently unknown however the patina and construction of the object suggests that it may be of Roman date. The object has a curved and pointed 'head' from the top of which is a triangular projection. Behind the 'head' is a circular hole measuring 4mm in diameter for attachment. The object has a triangular arch at the back and curves round where it terminates in a possible tail. An fragment of an unidentified object possibly dating from the Roman through to the Medieval period. The fragment consists of lead which has been chip-carved and gilded on the upper face. The decoration consists of a large C-shaped swirl within which is a smaller crescent shaped swirl. This pattern is repeated with the upper decoration mirroring the lower so that the crescent shape turns the opposite way. Each edge of the object is broken. A cast copper alloy object possibly Roman to Post-Medieval date. The object consists of a hooked anchor-shaped zoomorphic terminal. The zoomorphic element appears to be of two bird heads with feather effect casting leading in towards the center. An openwork triangle seperates the two zoomorphic ends. The necks of the creatures come together in the central shaft which is broken. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated, suggesting that it may have been designed to lay flat against something. The function of this object is currently unclear.
