Description: The object is a strip of silver with a pattern of what appear to be stamped lines on one side, cut at both ends and bent. There are no visible test marks, and no trace of solder or other fastening. Dimensions: 8mm wide, and 1mm thick. Weight 4.52g Discussion: The object has some similarities with so-called broad-band arm-rings of the late 9th and 10th centuries, produced in Viking contexts around the Irish Sea. A cast lead alloy object of unceratin function and date. The object is sub-circular in plan and oval in cross-section. At the top of the object is a central projection which is oval in cross-section. The projection is incomplete and possibly would have formed an attachment loop. Projecting from either side of the possible incomplete loop are two curved pointed triangular projections (four in total). The projections curve towards the central attachment. A cast copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section. Each end of the object curves downwards with a rounded outer edge while the inner edge turns at a 45 degree angle. In the centre of the object a deep vertical groove decorates each face. One end terminates with an oval projection containing a deep rectangular slot. The opposite end of the object expands slightly forming a large rectangular 'arm'.
