A piece of copper-alloy morphologically similar to the shape of a flat axehead, possibly casting waste from a manufacturing process. The object is roughly pear shaped in silhouette, with a rough texture that appears to be partly from corrosion and partly from the natural grain of the metal.

An incomplete copper alloy object, probably dating to the Early Medieval period. The object is rectangular in plan and cross-section. One long edge is incomplete due to ancient breaks and has a slight rectangular projection in the centre. Along the opposite long edge is a pierced sub-oval projection, which projects at a right angle to the body of the object. The front of the object is decorated with a rectangular recessed panel. An lead alloy object of uncertain function. The object is circular in plan and is D-shaped in cross-section. The flat face is rough and uneven with no visible pitting. Due to its undiagnostic nature it cannot be dated closely however the condition of the lead suggests a Post-Medieval date is likely. The object may have functioned as a palm guard however there are no diagnostic features. Palm guards were for use by a leather worker to protect the palm whilst stitching. Bailey (1995, 64-65) dates such objects to the 17th century onwards.

An incomplete copper alloy object of uncertain function, probably dating from the medieval to the post-medieval period. The object is sub-circular in plan with a wide rearward projecting hook at one end. At the opposite straight edged end of the object are two rounded projections which curve inwards and may have joined. The majority of the surface decoration has been obscured with corrosion however where the corrosion hasn't taken hold gilding is visible on each face. At the junction between the hooked tab and the body of the object is a double moulded inverted V-shaped ridge. A…

A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object is U-shaped in plan with zoomorphic duck or bird terminals. Extending down from the centre of the object is a circular-sectioned shaft, measuring 3mm thick, which appears to be hollow and is soil filled. The birds are each identical with open mouths and rounded beaks and circular annulet eyes. At the top of each head is an undulating raised ridge. The back of the bird's heads appears to have once joined each other at this ridge. Surrounding the eyes the surface is stained red, this may possibly be the remains of degraded…

A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object consists of a long arm which is oval in cross-section. At one end the arm tapers in width to form an integral pointed oval terminal. The terminal is sub-triangular in cross-section with one flat face. At the opposite end of the object is a bifurcated terminal which is incomplete. The purpose of each terminal is unclear. Projecting from the centre of the object is a sub-rectangular tab, one end of which tapers in width and curls inwards on itself. One end of this may be incomplete however it is difficult to be certain.…

An incomplete copper alloy fragment of uncertain function. The object is D-shaped in cross-section and sub-rectangular in plan with a rounded terminal. The rounded terminal curves backwards slightly however it is unclear whether this is intentional or due to damage. Above the terminal is a transverse ridge, above this the centre of the object is decorated with four punched circles. Either side of the punched circles are diagonal grooves. Each end of the object appears to terminate with an ancient break. The rear of the object is undecorated and there are no rivet holes or signs of …
