An lead alloy object of uncertain function. The object is circular in plan and is D-shaped in cross-section. The flat face is rough and uneven with no visible pitting. Due to its undiagnostic nature it cannot be dated closely however the condition of the lead suggests a Post-Medieval date is likely. The object may have functioned as a palm guard however there are no diagnostic features. Palm guards were for use by a leather worker to protect the palm whilst stitching. Bailey (1995, 64-65) dates such objects to the 17th century onwards.

A lead alloy possible weight or spindle whorl of uncertain date. The object is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The lower face of the object is undecorated, flat and has a dark waxy grey patina. The upper face of the object has a rough dark brown iron patina which is decorated with raised pellets. In the centre of the object there is a circular very slight depression measuring 10mm in diameter. This depression is mid-grey in colour. An incomplete lead alloy three-dimensional unidentified object of post medieval date. It is U-shaped in plan with a narrow rounded top and is open at the bottom. Between each face at the base project two curved strips of lead alloy which taper in width to a point, these may have origionally joined to form a loop. An iron rivet runs between attaching both faces together. The object is decorated on each face with a central moulded pannel of rings and diagonal ridges. Three verticle ridges decorate one side of the central pannel.

An incomplete lead alloy impression of a coin. The impression in the object is of a penny of George III, (1760-1820). The legend reads GEORBIUS III D G REX; surrounding the laureate bust of the king facing right. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The object has a raised rim. The object has been bent and the edges damaged probably due to the plough. It has a dark brown patina beneath which is a dark grey surface where it has been damaged. A cast lead alloy ammonite of Post-Medieval to Modern date. The object is sub-circular in plan and uniface. The curled body of the ammonite decorates the outer face while the rear of the object is flat but pitted. The object has a dark cream patina and is in fair condition. It may have been cast from a fossil and would have been relatively easy to make. The coat of arms of Whitby Abbey shows three curled snakes, previously represented as ammonites. Taking the location of the find spot into account in the parish of Whitby this may represent a pilgrim's souvenir or a more modern tour…

An incomplete lead alloy object probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. One face of the object is stamped with a shield shaped stamp bearing a lion rampant left above which are the initials W I. A sub-rectangular perforation has been punched through the object at one corner of the shield. The rear of the object is stamped with five hearts irregularly spaced. A cast lead alloy object of uncertain function dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is shield shaped in plan. On one face of the object is an impression of an imperial orb surmounted by a cross, within an ornamental tressure that has three arches. The rear of the object is decorated with cross-hatching. The imperial orb is of the type usually found on copper Rose/Orb jettons of Hans Krauwinckel II. These jettons can be dated from AD1586-1635. It has a dark grey patina.
