A complete copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object consists of a long hook, measuring 85mm in length before it curves, tapering in width to a rounded point. The hook is circular in cross-section. At the top of the object the hook expands and flattens to form an integral loop. The loop has an internal diameter of 14mm. The object has a mid-green patina and is undecorated. It is in fair condition. Dimensions: 85mm in length, 20mm in width (at the loop), 8.60g. An incomplete copper alloy object of uncertain function, probably dating from the medieval to the post-medieval period. The object is sub-circular in plan with a wide rearward projecting hook at one end. At the opposite straight edged end of the object are two rounded projections which curve inwards and may have joined. The majority of the surface decoration has been obscured with corrosion however where the corrosion hasn't taken hold gilding is visible on each face. A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object consists of a long arm which is oval in cross-section. At one end the arm tapers in width to form an integral pointed oval terminal. The terminal is sub-triangular in cross-section with one flat face. At the opposite end of the object is a bifurcated terminal which is incomplete. The purpose of each terminal is unclear. Projecting from the centre of the object is a sub-rectangular tab, one end of which tapers in width and curls inwards on itself. The lower face of the object is undecorated, flat and has a dark waxy grey patina. The upper face of the object has a rough dark brown iron patina which is decorated with raised pellets. One face of the object is decorated with a curvilinear or wave-like pattern with each 'wave' facing the opposite way. It is likely that this pattern would have repeated. A fragment of a zoomorphic object of uncertain date and function. The object has a sub-triangular body which is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The body of the object divides at the top terminating with two rounded projections or ears. The ears are concave on the outer face of the object and convex at the rear. Between the ears on the 'head' of the object is a projecting snout which is lozenge shaped in cross-section. A copper alloy unidentified object probably dating from the medieval to the post medieval date. The object is bifrucated at one end with a triangular shaped void between each projection. The opposite end of the object is incomplete and forms a U-shape due to the incomplete terminal. Below the incomplete terminal are two horizontal ridges decorated on the outer face with ropework. These ridges have been filed down at the rear of the object. Possible functions include a drop handle such as DENO-2817C7 or YORYM-914600 however these are usually not as curved in profile.
