A cast copper alloy object of uncertain function dating to the Roman period, (AD43-410). The object is sub-oval in plan and slightly curved in profile. One end of the object is rounded while the opposite end is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The object is decorated with a series of cells which are in-filled with enamel. In the centre of the object are two C-shaped cells facing each other, one is in-filled with green enamel and the other with red. Either side of these cells is a 'sideways Y-shaped' cell.
