A piece of copper-alloy morphologically similar to the shape of a flat axehead, possibly casting waste from a manufacturing process. The object is roughly pear shaped in silhouette, with a rough texture that appears to be partly from corrosion and partly from the natural grain of the metal.

A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object is U-shaped in plan with zoomorphic duck or bird terminals. Extending down from the centre of the object is a circular-sectioned shaft, measuring 3mm thick, which appears to be hollow and is soil filled. The birds are each identical with open mouths and rounded beaks and circular annulet eyes. At the top of each head is an undulating raised ridge. The back of the bird's heads appears to have once joined each other at this ridge. Surrounding the eyes the surface is stained red, this may possibly be the remains of degra…

A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object consists of a long arm which is oval in cross-section. At one end the arm tapers in width to form an integral pointed oval terminal. The terminal is sub-triangular in cross-section with one flat face. At the opposite end of the object is a bifurcated terminal which is incomplete. The purpose of each terminal is unclear. Projecting from the centre of the object is a sub-rectangular tab, one end of which tapers in width and curls inwards on itself. One end of this may be incomplete however it is difficult to be certain.…

A fragment of a zoomorphic object of uncertain date and function. The object has a sub-triangular body which is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The body of the object divides at the top terminating with two rounded projections or ears. The ears are concave on the outer face of the object and convex at the rear. Between the ears on the 'head' of the object is a projecting snout which is lozenge shaped in cross-section. The snout is almost complete however any surface detail has been lost with the patina, probably due to abrasion from within the plough soil. The lower part of this fac…

A copper alloy object of uncertain date and function. The object consists of a central solid rod with striations on its outer surface. Wrapped around the central rod is an indistinct rounded piece of copper alloy which may be zoomorphic in nature or perhaps in the form of hands clasping the rod. Examined from one angle the clasping copper alloy appears to be a pig, and a frog from another angle while from the front of the object it appears to be clasped hands. The uncertainty of the decoration and incomplete nature of the object makes it difficult to identify correctly and date. Th…
