Cast copper alloy fragment of a zoomorphic stirrup terminal. The object is irregular in plan and consists of an arched back with a projecting terminal. The projection is solid and sub-rectangular in cross-section with a rounded tip. The arched back is hollow and would have been filled with solder to take the corner of the iron stirrup. A similar example is fig 4f, FRG Datasheet 24, Williams (1997). A few small fragments of dark green patina remain on the object. The fragment is badly worn.
