One half of a cast lead sack seal dating to the Post Medieval period. The object is lozenge shaped in plan with a small projecting tab at the base. It is stamped with the letters OM//ESSEX//1618 within a lozenge shaped beaded border. Below the date is a small flower. The object has a mid white patina.

Cast lead seal dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700AD). The object is circular in plan and incomplete. One face of the object depicts the arms of the City of London, combining the cross of St George and the sword of St Paul. Above this the object is inscribed with LONDI. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The arms of the City of London date from the middle of the 14th century.

Cast lead seal dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). It is a single disc integrally cast with data, and with a small subsidiary loop at top. This form is a seal for traded copper-alloy wire made in mills on the Continent, either late C16th or C17th. On the upper surface are the letters A+ ME W with a flower to the right and within a beaded circle. The reverse shows a crown over a harp. There is a pellet above the crown. These are from the Low Countries up through North Germany to southern Denmark and Sweden. So far this one is not identified. It has the ME privy mark …

A post medieval copper alloy seal. The object is made in one plane from two elements. The frame is curved with foliate scrolls framing a pierced loop for suspension. On one face of the seal is a helmeted bust facing right. The reverse shows the image of a stag within a foliate frame. Above the oval seal is an image of a male holding a rose while the reverse depicts a lady with one arm raised and the other on her hip. The seal still turns in it's frame. It has a dark green patina and is in very good condition.
