A cast copper alloy mount dating to the Medieval period, (AD1066-1500). The object is lozenge shaped in plan and flat. There is no visible decoration. The rear of the object is undecorated. The object is worn with a blackish patina and is corroded in places. There are no attachments remaining on the rear of the object. Similar lozenge shaped mounts can be found in can be found in Read, (2001), p17.

A cast copper alloy asymmetrical mount dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-oval in plan with a rounded projection at each end. Each terminal end is decorated with oblique grooves. On the rear of the object is an integral pointed lug at each end. The object has a dark brown patina and can be dated to the 17th century. A similar example can be seen in Read, (2001), p36, no.308.

Cast copper alloy shield-shaped mount dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). The object is shield-shaped in plan and flat. Three circular rivets remain in-situ and project from the rear of the object. The device is of an eagle with open wings facing left with an open beak. The eagle is on a field of or (gold), expressed by dots. The object has a silvery green patina and has been silvered or tinned.

Cast copper alloy petalled mount dating to the Medieval period. It is a quatrefoil petalled mount which is flat on both sides. The object would have been stamped into shape. There is a small rivet hole through one of the petals. A similar example is fig. 14419, p2906 Ottaway and Rogers, (2002). It can be dated to the 13th century and has a mid green patina.

Cast copper alloy belt mount dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The hollow convex pointed oval mount is undecorated. The rivet on the reverse is integral and has a square section. Similar examples which can be seen on the database are NLM-1A0B01 and NLM-1B6241.

Cast copper alloy belt mount dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). It is domed with a central circular section and a rectangular terminal at each end. There is a perforation in each end with a rivet in each which would have been used to attach the mount to a belt. The central lobe has been decorated with three grooves. Unusually there is a hole drilled from the front in the centre of this middle section. This form of belt mount was very popular in the medieval period and was in use from at least 1150-1450 AD. Similar examples can be seen in Egan and Pritchards book on Medieval…
