A cast copper alloy hinge probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object consists of a sheet of copper alloy one edge of which has been rolled forward creating a hinge. At the opposite edge of the object is a small circular perforation. The object is incomplete and undecorated. It has a mid-green patina.

Cast copper alloy decorative hinge from either a box or possibly a book fitting of dating from the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-rectangular in cross-section. One end terminates with a fleur-de-lis which contains a small rivet hole. Below this is an inverted heart-shaped openwork at the base of which are two more rivet holes. The opposite hinge plate is decorated with a heart shaped openwork terminal at the top of which is a projecting knop.
