An iron age fob or dangler of curvilinear and semi-triangular design. The centre appears to have broken free and is not present in the current object. The exact purpose or use of these objects is not clear, though many are decorated with zoomorphic figure, and this particular example appears to have snout-like stylised elements projecting from the outer rim.

A cast copper alloy 'fob' or 'dangler' dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period, (c 200BC-100AD). The fob is pyramidal in form with a triangular frame, openwork decoration and a suspension loop. Within the centre of the frame is an integral triskele motif. In the centre of the triskele is a raised circular boss measuring 8mm in diameter and 4mm high. The boss is surrounded by a raised moulded circumferential border. A copper alloy object in the form of a spoked wheel of Iron Age to Roman date. The object is circular in plan with an oval sectioned frame. Within the frame are three spokes formed of twisted rods of copper alloy. At the centre of the three spokes on each face is a decorative ring-and-dot motif. This may have originally held enamel within the recess. The object has a smooth olive green patina and appears to be complete. An incomplete copper-alloy artefact, probably Late Iron Age to Early Roman in date and representing the remains of a 'fob' or 'dangler'. The piece consists of a flat-sectioned triskele, its three arms, in varying states of completeness, radiating outwards from a central point. The most complete arm is broadly S-shaped and tapers towards the distal end. The fob is circular in plan and consists of a central field of decorative openwork of a threefold whirligig, triskele motif enclosed by a circular frame. Projecting from the centre of the object on one face is a rectangular-sectioned stem/shaft which has been bent over and flattened against one of the three curved arms of the object.
