A cast copper alloy fragment of a possible tile comb of probable Roman date (43-410 AD). he fragment consists of the lower handle and the comb. In plan the tile comb resembles an inverted T. he lower handle is sub-rectangular in plan and flares towards the base where it meets the comb. It is sub-oval in cross section. The comb is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with the comb edge being the longest axis and set at right angles to the handle. The impression edge of the comb has suffered from abrasion. Cast copper alloy incomplete possible tile comb dating to the Roman period. The object consists of the lower part of the handle and the comb. The T-bar section is flat and the bottom edge is a zig-zag in section and these form the comb teeth. On one side of the comb have a V-shaped cut out and the upper edge of the T-Bar is shaped so that it flares up in a curve at the outside edge and again where it meets the handle.
