Silver sterling imitation penny of John the Blind, King of Bohemia and Count of Luxemburg (1309-46). Obverse: +IOhAnNEeagleSDthreestopsEIthreestopsGR-A; crowned bust facing. Reverse: REX BO-E ETP OLeagle; long cross dividing legend, three pellets in each quarter. 1310 - 1335 AD. Meyhew numbers 257 "The use of triple pellet stops and the eagle n the legends is strongly reminiscent of the sterlings of John's father Henry VII as Holy Roman Emperor. The face punch on this type is also very similar to that used on Henry's crown sterlings (Mayhew 254a-5), (Mayhew 1983, 105). …
