Silver half groat of Henry VIII, (1509-1547). Obv: HENRIC VIII DI GRA REX AGL Z FRA; Crowned bust right. Rev: CIVITAS CANTOR; Archbishop William Warham type, W A beside shield. North no. 1767. Fragment of a silver Harp Groat coin of Henry VIII. Obv: Crowned shield. Rev: Harp.1534-47. Both coins are of silver. The English one will be of the sterling standard of 92.5%; the Irish coin is too fragmentary for identification to be definite, so it could belong to any of a range of Henry's Irish issues, which went from a coinage of 84% silver to one of 25%.
